The IFD100 10.3 serves as a supplementary in-flight companion application for Avidyne's IFD series avionics, equipped with Wi-Fi connectivity. It is specifically compatible with IFD software version 10.3.0.2; users operating on pre-10.3 software are advised to utilize the IFD100 10.2 version.

It is important to note that the IFD100 is not FAA certified and is classified as a Portable Electronic Device (PED). As such, it is designed to function as an additional display, allowing up to two iPads to connect simultaneously to a single IFD. When both devices utilize identical databases, they can showcase all sensor data and flight plan information.

Furthermore, the IFD100 can interface with Avidyne's Trainer App running on a separate iPad, provided that both devices are connected to the same network. Users need to enable Wi-Fi upon starting the Trainer App for the IFD100 to establish an automatic connection.
